One of our representatives will meet you at the Faro airport for the transfer to Sagres. Sagres is a beautiful village located in the extreme southwest of Europe and is surrounded by nature. Rich in history, Sagres was considered the end of the world in the 13th century it is now a surfer town with laid-back charm. Take time to visit the lighthouse perched on cliffs towering 200 feet above the ocean.

Today’s destination is Lagos, a charming town with Moorish walls at surrounding the lively city center. Your ride will take your though Vila Do Bispo another great stop with a 16th-century church and many houses typical of the region.
With only 30 km to ride today spend the morning enjoying the cafes of Lagos before pedaling into the countryside towards Alvor. Founded in 436, Alvor is a classic Portuguese fishing village full of history and old-world charm. Today’s destination is Portimao, historically a shipbuilding center, the warfs have been transformed into lovely waterfront paths. Considered the big city (50,000 residents) Portimao offers some great shopping on pedestrian streets as well as more fresh seafood.
Your day begins cycling towards Salgados Lagoon where you can enjoy a nature walk and see a wide variety of bird species. No visit to Southern Portugal is complete without a visit to the beach. Today is the perfect day for that. Your destination tonight is Albufeira, the resort capital of the Algarve region. Albufeira is more than just a resort town it also offers a charming old town with a wide variety of restaurants.
Your day begins with a visit to the Ria Formosa Natural Park, one of the 7 natural wonders of Portugal. Take time for a boat ride before cycling onto Faro. There is plenty to do in this charming old city. Be sure to visit the “Bone Chapel” as well as the cathedral.
Your ride begins cycling through a number of small fishing villages. Octopus is the specialty of this region so make sure to stop for some overlooking the ocean. Tonight’s destination is Tavaria, the ambitious can plan to visit the towns 36 churches while the less enthusiastic can enjoy the sun and the cafes.
Today is a day with stunning scenery as you will enjoy stunning views from Cancela Vehla before cycling to Vila Real de Santo Antonio. Rebuilt after an earthquake in 1755 it is still a beautiful town. Pedal across the border into Spain before catching a train back to Tavira.
