Nestled among lush hills, adorned with grand old homes, a picturesque harbor, and a quaint main street, Camden effortlessly claims the title of Maine’s prettiest town.
Your three-day bike adventure in this quintessential Maine town kicks off with a scenic ride along a tree-dotted ocean preserve, weaving through verdant farmland bordered by age-old stone walls.
The journey progresses as we pedal across one of Maine’s most stunning islands, nestled in the heart of Penobscot Bay, with breathtaking ocean vistas at every turn.
The tour wraps up with a ride to Rockland and a visit to my beloved Owls Head Light, a majestic lighthouse. Along the way, take the opportunity to delve into the local art scene at numerous galleries and unwind on the deck of a classic wooden sailboat for a serene sunset cruise across Penobscot Bay.

The early morning ferry carries us to Islesboro where stately pines and 40 room cottages serve as a backdrop for our ride around one of Maine’s prettiest islands. Tonight we explore Penobscot Bay from the deck of a classic wooden schooner before a casual dinner.
Just south of Camden, Rockland is rapidly becoming a summer destination in its own right. Today’s ride will carry us to Rockland and the Owls Head Light. Spend the afternoon wandering the Farnsworth Museum of Art or choose to cycle the rural beauty of the St George Peninsula and around Rackliff Island. Note: The tour generally concludes between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm.
