Named one of the best beer cities by CNN in 2019, Portland has lots to offer beer lovers. A small coastal town of only 66,000 people Portland has over twenty-five working craft breweries.
Set on a peninsula overlooking the ocean Portland’s brick buildings and cobblestoned streets are great for exploring. Our bike and brews weekend combines fantastic cycling with visits to some of the region’s best breweries.

Meet your guides early in the afternoon. No cycling today but the van will take us to some iconic breweries. First stop, Allagash Brewing Company, Maine’s most recognized brewery.
After a visit to the brewery and tasting room, we will visit one more brewery in the Industrial Way area before a 20-minute shuttle ride to Freeport for a visit to Maine Beer Company before a welcome dinner of fresh lobster overlooking the ocean.
Today’s ride will feature the Eastern Trail which, when completed, will be a multi-use path from Maine to Florida. The ride will be a mix of on and off-road cycling featuring a ride through the Scarborough, Marsh.
Our destination today is the town of Biddeford, an old mill town featuring a charming downtown and a vibrant brewery scene. We will visit 2 breweries Banded Horn and Barreled Souls before the van shuttles us back to Portland. Tonight enjoy a free night in Portland.
A morning ride will take you to see the lighthouses of Casco Bay. We will stop at the famous Portland Head Light for Portland’s best lobster roll before cycling back into Portland and visiting several breweries in the East Bayside “locally known as Yeast Bayside” and a late afternoon conclusion of the tour.
