Lodging; A Local Hotel

DAY 2 Montreal to Marieville

You begin your day by visiting a local shop for your bike fitting. From here, you enjoy Montreal’s extensive network of bike paths as you pedal across the St Lawrence River. The St Lawrence is a bustling waterway for commercial boat traffic, and if you end up waiting for a big ship to navigate the locks, it is part of the experience. The first town you encounter is Chambly, known for its historic fort and quaint main street. From here, you will cycle across the Chambly Canal and onto Marieville.

Cycling: 29 miles
Meals: Breakfast
Lodging: B&B

DAY 3 Marieville to Granby

After breakfast, you will pedal back to Chambly and ride the bike path along the canal to the town of Saint-Jean-Sur-Richelieu. A vital transportation hub from the 1700s, Saint-Jean-Sur-Richelieu is a vibrant city. Leaving town, you will ride a bike path through fields and forests to the village of Farnham. Farnham has both an excellent brewery and a fromagerie with comfortable decks. From here, you follow a tree-lined bike path to the town of Granby and your inn for the night.

Cycling: 48 miles
Meals: Breakfast
Lodging: A Local Inn

DAY 4 Granby to Foster

You begin cycling a bike path along Lake Boivin. Take the short 7km detour to discover the town of Bromont and stock up for a picnic. You continue along bike paths through woodlands to your inn on the shore of Lake Brome.

Cycling: 25 miles
Meals: None
Lodging: A Charming Inn

DAY 5 Foster to Magog

Today is a bit hilly but well worth it. The route will take you to the Mount Orford National Park. There is a lovely 4km detour around Silver Lake that is worth the effort. Leaving the park, you will have a mix of bike paths and some on-road cycling to the town of Magog. Located on the shores of Lake Memphremagog, Magog is a vibrant four-season community with galleries and restaurants.

Cycling: 33 miles
Meals: Breakfast
Lodging: A Charming B&B

DAY 6 Magog to North Hatley

Today, you will cycle through one of the richest maple syrup areas in all of Quebec. Your ride starts on a bike path through maple trees to the shores of a lake. From here, it is a mix of trails and roads to the town of North Hatley. Although the town has only 650 residents, there is an excellent restaurant here.

Views were amazing. Guides were friendly and personable. Lobster roll was delicious. I upgraded to the ebike (first time riding one) and 10/10 recommend it. I wasn’t looking for a workout. Just wanted to see the sights and enjoy myself. Portland was my favorite stop from a New England cruise.

Michael Brown

Five Stars to Rick (our guide) and the folks at Summer Feet Cycling. The ride was perfectly tailored to our group of nine middle aged individuals. The sights were terrific and the lobster role for lunch was the best I have ever eaten. Thanks for making our time in Maine a memorable experience.

Marsha Walton

Our Summer Feet cycle along the Maine coast was glorious. In early September, we had perfect weather. We cycled along breathtaking views. Then we caught our breath in quaint Maine towns and fishing villages. Each evening our luggage was waiting for us at a charming inn, where we were served breakfast before heading out the next morning. The Summer Feet staff were friendly and efficient. We will hope to plan another Summer Feet trip soon! Pedal The Coast
