An Unforgettable Guided Bike Tour of Quebec

Experience a little bit of Europe with a relaxing bike tour through Quebec. Our Quebec Bike Tour will lead you through historic villages, sampling fine local cuisine along the way. It’s almost like discovering a new world! The Summer Feet guides will introduce you to a Quebec you may have never seen before. You’ll fall in love with the French culture, the architecture and, most of all, the food! Your enjoyment will only be surpassed by your comfort. Our nights in the country will be spent in an 18th-century mill and manor house, where our accommodating host will greet you.

Quebec Cycling Trips with Summer Feet…

While in Quebec, we’ll stay in a boutique hotel nestled amidst the city’s historic sights. In between, you’ll explore spectacular natural falls, the banks of the inland sea, beautiful villages, a maritime museum, and much more.  It’s all at your own pace because, after all, it’s your vacation. Your Quebec Cycling Tour Itinerary

DAY 1 Transfer From Quebec Airport and Hotels to L’islet Sur Mer

We’ll pick you up anywhere in the city and then drive to our inn, an 18th century water mill set in beautiful forest above the river. Our warm-up ride meanders along the rural roads of Quebec.

  • Cycling Options: 16 or 35 miles
  • Meals: Dinner
  • Lodging: First of 2 Nights at Auberge des Glacisv

DAY 2 Historic Villages and the Seigneurie Les Aulnaie

As we roll out of the inn, it’s time for an easy day of bicycling. Quebec’s country roads offer something to explore before joining the Route Verte to ride along the banks of the mighty inland sea. Stop and visit a charming maritime museum, lunch in the delightful Café Libellule and then take the tour of the Seigneurie grist mill and manor house.

  • Cycling Options: 37 to 57 miles
  • Meals: Breakfast & Dinner
  • Lodging: Final Night at Auberge des Glacis

DAY 3 Rolling on the River

As our Quebec Bike Tour continues, we leave our Auberge and follow some inland roads before descending to the river at La Pocatiere. We ride through Kamouraska, listed as one of the most beautiful villages in Quebec, and stop for a late afternoon microbrew on the deck of Brasserie Breughel. Then it’s on to St. Andre to our home for the next two days, the elegant La Sollailerie.

  • Cycling Options: 25 to 57 miles
  • Meals: Breakfast & Dinner
  • Lodging: First of 2 Nights at La Grand Voile

DAY 4 Bas St. Laurent

From the picturesque village of St. Andre we offer a number of ride options. If you enjoy bicycling Quebec on flatter and easier routes, take the Route Verte along the river through the bustling little city of Riviere du Loup. You can beat the prevailing winds and take a shuttle back to the inn. For a more challenging ride, climb into the mountains behind the town and ride forested roads and tracks before an exhilarating descent back to St. Andre.

  • Cycling Options: 30 to 50 miles
  • Meals: Breakfast & Lunch & Dinner
  • Lodging: Final Night at La Grand Voile

DAY 5 Velo Route La Chaudiere

After a morning transfer back towards Quebec City, we ride the bike route along the Chaudiere River. Picnic on divine Quebec cheeses beside a rushing waterfall before we ride on into the city following the Parcours des Anses, a two lane bike highway along the St. Laurent. We’ll take a ferry ride that brings us into the heart of Quebec.

DAY 6 Montmorency Falls and the Bike Paths

Today we ride out of the city to the spectacular Montmorency Falls. Here we can take a cable car or follow the trail across the top of the falls and learn some of the fascinating history. Take it easy and bike back to explore the city streets or join your guides for a guided biking tour of the extensive bike network that covers the city.

  • Cycling Options: 25 to 35 miles
  • Meals: Breakfast & Lunch & Dinner
  • Lodging: Final Night at Auberge Sainte Antoine

DAY 7 Quebec and the Champs De Battaile

We get up early for a morning ride through the streets of the old city and up onto the Plains of Abraham, site of the pivotal battle for supremacy in North America between the French and English in 1759. Our Quebec bike tour concludes with a trip back to the inn for another exquisite breakfast before returning home.

  • Cycling Options: 15 miles
  • Meals: Breakfast

Views were amazing. Guides were friendly and personable. Lobster roll was delicious. I upgraded to the ebike (first time riding one) and 10/10 recommend it. I wasn’t looking for a workout. Just wanted to see the sights and enjoy myself. Portland was my favorite stop from a New England cruise.

Five Stars to Rick (our guide) and the folks at Summer Feet Cycling. The ride was perfectly tailored to our group of nine middle aged individuals. The sights were terrific and the lobster role for lunch was the best I have ever eaten. Thanks for making our time in Maine a memorable experience.

Marsha Walton

Our Summer Feet cycle along the Maine coast was glorious. In early September, we had perfect weather. We cycled along breathtaking views. Then we caught our breath in quaint Maine towns and fishing villages. Each evening our luggage was waiting for us at a charming inn, where we were served breakfast before heading out the next morning. The Summer Feet staff were friendly and efficient. We will hope to plan another Summer Feet trip soon! Pedal The Coast
