Itinerary

Daily Tour

Guides will meet you at the Portland Encyclepedia for bike fitting and the short ride to the.  Enjoy great views of downtown Portland and Casco Bay on the short ferry ride to Peaks.  A few small hills will get us onto the road around the island. We will stop to visit the 5th Maine Museum and Battery Steele to learn how this small island played a vital role in 2 wars. We will cycle the backside of the island for stunning views of the open ocean and Ram Island Ledge Light. Our ride leaves us time to enjoy a lobster roll and poke around town before we queue for the ferry ( it is part of the island experience) and return to Portland on the 2:45 ferry. Total cycling 6 miles.
